| An Angel's Suicide
An angel's perfect suicide Never has there been such An errorless betrayal, An innocent death But maybe the error lies In the beginning of this lost life It all started when she started to see The corrupted life she lived How nothing was true, and how no one Was there, or truly cared They said they were but they couldn't look her in the eyes Until she died, those deep pools of soul gazing to the heavens She had never known such a loneliness until the minute That her heart began to slow, working in vain Trying to save her from herself She knew the feeling, The one of knowing that something was wrong She always felt it She barely knew herself anymore, Turning herself into a monster to try And be like the others To try to be happy Not lonely But in her change, she had never felt the loneliness So deep and gripping, so cold and deathly She was so innocent, The other angels must have dropped her On their flight back to heaven And they cut off her wings and left her to die Life taught her that she was nothing But a breath, but a single feather Dancing on the wind She never knew hate, But only love She was lost and confused and only wished That the silence would stop screaming at her For being alive Maybe her time here was supposed to save the world Like she tried so much. Maybe her time here was a test And maybe she failed They told her that she was a mistake And that she would burn in hell That there was no hope for her And there never would be Everytime it rained, it was the angels above Crying for their lost one and her pain Everytime it rained, you could find her Crying alone, holding herself In attempt to hold herself together The angels perfect suicide Could have been prevented She was disgusted and hopeless After witnessing what life was Nothing but knives in the darkness She truly believed that there was no such thing As love true The exhaustion from the lies and the pain She took her own life In the freshly fallen snow, White and pure as she Her blood around her like a halo And the snow kept falling, The angels' tears from above Frozen with such sadness She never realized that There was nothing wrong with her And that she shouldn't have died She hoped that with her death She'd regain her wings To just fly home again | |
