Matsuri = Festival / Fair

There's food and games at matsuri and lots of people wear yutaka and kimono.
Lots of gaijin show up to this matsuri. (Gaijin = Foreigners)
Unlike American fairs, these matsuri are held in the streets or near temples. Although, sometimes you'll find them in a field like the ones we're used to.

You commonly see people will food, since there's so much to eat.

When a matsuri is happening, trains and streets are closed off and the city is basically shut down.
